Director of Music Ministry (Part-Time)
Crooks Memorial United Methodist Church – Yorktown, VA
Crooks Memorial UMC is seeking a part-time Director of Music Ministry to lead our music program, combining roles of choir director and organist/pianist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the Chancel Choir and lead music for Sunday worship, special services, and major church events.
- Provide organ/piano accompaniment for worship, weddings, and funerals.
- Collaborate with the Pastor to plan hymns and special music.
- Recruit and encourage participation in choirs, ensembles, and solo offerings.
Qualifications:
- Christian faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Music education preferred.
- Proven ability to direct choirs and play organ/piano.
- Experience in church music ministry.
Compensation:
Part-time salaried position
Annual salary: $20,500
